StrapStop™

In 2011, our lives changed overnight when we were blessed with twin boys.

Having one child is a beautiful journey, but managing twins is a completely different world. My wife and I were constantly searching for products and clever solutions to make everyday life easier. From twin bottle holders and double swings to twin prams and toys, we were always looking for ways to better manage daily life with two energetic boys.

As the twins grew older, another challenge appeared.

By the age of four, both boys had become experts at escaping from their car seat harnesses during journeys. Almost every trip became stressful. Sometimes they would slip their arms out of the belts within minutes, lean sideways, throw food, cry, and distract us while driving.

One incident especially stayed with us forever.

My wife was driving on a busy highway when both boys managed to free themselves from their harnesses at the same time. They started leaning toward the car doors, crying and moving around while she desperately tried to stay focused on the road. She began to panic because there was nowhere safe to stop the car immediately.

That moment made us realise this was not just frustrating — it was dangerous.

We started seriously thinking about creating something simple, safe, and effective to stop children escaping from their harnesses.

In December 2015, StrapStop™ was born.

What started as an idea from our own family problem quickly became a product trusted by parents around the world. Since then, StrapStop™ has gone through multiple design improvements and upgrades to become the product you see today.

Between 2015 and 2025, over 1 million StrapStop™ units were sold globally. Parents often called it a “God Send Product” because it solved a real everyday problem that so many families experienced.

Now in 2026, we are taking StrapStop™ to the next level.

After years of learning, testing, and customer feedback, I designed an entirely new premium version called StrapStop™ Pro. It features completely redesigned high-quality clips with an advanced double-lock system — easy for parents to open, but difficult for children to escape from.

StrapStop™ Pro is currently in development and launching through Kickstarter.
